It’s that time again! Sónar Festival 2018 is ready to hit Barcelona once again this June, bringing with it an awesome line-up, some amazing expos and, of course, some top-notch tunes! One of the biggest electronic music festivals in Europe , Sónar is set to take the city by storm from June 14th to 16th – that’s 72 hours of non-stop partying!
The 25th edition of the International Festival of Advanced Music and New Media Art , to give it its full title, is a must for electronic music fanatics and has thrilled thousands of years with the best in electronic tunes and visual art displays. And with plenty of top acts taking the stage, this is sure to be an experience not to be forgotten!
The Biggest Electro / Techno Festival Around
Dubbed one of the highlights of the European music festival calendar, Sónar has hosted some of the biggest names in music over the years, from The Chemical Brothers to the Scissor Sisters , Carl Cox to Goldfrapp , and many more.
This year you will also get the chance to see artists such as Laurent Garnier, Richie Hawtin and Bonobo, to name a few. With over a hundred acts set to perform, the 2018 edition of this world-renowned music festival is going to be amazing.
And do not forget that there will be an exciting exhibition named NO FLYERS NO POSTERS, 25 years of Sónar to enjoy throughout Sónar 2018. The exhibition will be held at Center d’Art The Room key from May 24th until June 23rd, and forms part of the Sónar 2018 associated activities program.

It goes without saying that the atmosphere in Barcelona during Sónar is one charged with excitement as the thousands of fans just can not get enough of those non stop spinning turntables.
Festival goers can also look forward to Sónar + D. This festival within a festival is a celebration of innovative technology and creativity. From workshops to ‘hackathons’, interactive installations to product demos, as well as some entrepreneurial initiatives, Sónar is far more than just a music festival!
With a lineup sure to satisfy even the pickiest of muses, and plenty in the way of visual and cultural arts, it should come as no surprise that organizers are preparing for more than 100,000 festival-goers.
