When I’m big I want to be a photographer (photo expo): When I am big I want to be a photographer is Murat’s dream, an 8 year old boy, of Syrian origin and who has spent half a lifetime in a refugee camp in Iraq. His desire to be a photographer inspired Grisart to create a project, together with UNICEF, to give photography workshops to boys and girls who, like Murat, have experienced wars and conflicts and, nowadays, live in refugee camps. The workshops were held in September 2018 in two refugee camps near the city of Erbil (Iraq).
The exhibition collects a selection of the photographs taken by the participants of these workshops. The images represent a daily window of these young people: their work, their gaze and their message to the world. You can visit this exhibition until the 4th of Januari from Monday to Friday 09:00 to 21:00, free entree at Grist, Carrer Méndez Núñez 14, metro Arc de Triomf (L1).
